Dr. Babak Hajhosseini – a Beverly Hills physician – has been charged with drugging and raping a woman who worked for him.
Founder of the Wound and Burn Centers of America, Dr. Hajhosseini was arrested by the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) on November 26 after an alleged victim came forward. The woman, an employee of Dr. Hajhosseini, accused the physician of rape.
The LAPD has indicated that they believe Dr. Hajhosseini would use job recruiting sites to target women victims who he would drug and then sexually assault. Police allege that Hajhosseini would use said job sites to offer high-paying hourly wage positions to entice his potential victims. Subsequently to hiring the women, Dr. Hajhosseini would then pressure them to work overtime hours at his home, according to police.
According to the LAPD, an employee alleged that Dr. Hajhosseini pressured her to drink alcohol during a work session at his home. The woman allegedly lost consciousness and was sexually assaulted by Hajhosseini. Police further allege that Hajhosseini recorded the sexual assault.
Dr. Babak Hajhosseini, 42, was formally charged on December 23 with the following counts:

Following his arrest on November 26, Dr. Babak Hajhosseini was released on a $2 million bond.

California Doctors Who Are Convicted of Sexual Abuse May No Longer Keep Licenses
The passage of a recent law – California AB 1636 – ensures that doctors convicted of sexual abuse or other types of sexual misconduct will be prohibited from having their licenses reinstated by the state’s medical board.
